The USA really does take the crown in terms of holiday variety with many different cultures, experiences and climates spread across its 50 states. Each city can lay claim to its own unique history and culture from Boston’s independence links to the musical heritage of the Deep South.

ENDLESS FUN IN THE LAND OF HOPE AND GLORY

If its adventure you are after then look no further than Western USA and the jaw-droppingly beautiful National Parks of Yosemite, Yellowstone and Zion. Head to the bright lights of Las Vegas for extraordinary entertainment but if you fancy something a little more relaxing, then the gorgeous beaches of Florida and Hawaii would certainly hit the spot.

Eastern USA is scattered with iconic mega-cities such as fast-paced New York, 'America's Favourite City' Chicago and the captivating capital of Washington D.C. But for a more laid back vacation, head to the winding roads of New England, filled with colonial past times and stunning autumnal scenery.

One of our favourite holidays was a west-coast fly and drive from San Francisco down to Los Angeles down the legendary Pacific Coast Highway, one of the most scenic drives in the world, which snakes around stunning coastlines through gorgeous coastal villages and untouched forests. There are plenty of places to stop, including the well-known fishing village of Monterey - famous for whale watching. As you head into spectacular Big Sur, make sure you stop off at the iconic Bixby Bridge, before checking out the magnificent Hearst Castle.

*The United States of America truly is one of our favourite countries to visit. Florida was our first holiday together over 15 years ago and we have been constantly travelling back ever since, visiting over 20 different states so far.
