Day 1: Lima
Start off in Lima, Peru's bustling capital city. Enjoy a half-day city tour, which will include a visit to one of Lima’s main squares and oldest Cathedrals. We would highly recommend spending the rest of your time here discovering the thriving gastronomic scene at one of Lima’s many restaurants.
Days 2 & 3: Cusco
Take a flight from Lima to Cusco, known as the beautiful historic capital of the Inca Empire. This UNESCO World Heritage site has everything you could want from a beautiful Latin America town including pretty colonial buildings, cobbled streets and a beautiful main square. You will be spending two nights at a local hotel ideally located in the centre of town,
Enjoy a half-day tour of the town’s biggest attractions and ancient Incan sites that are close to the city. It’s the perfect introduction for what lies ahead.
Days 4 - 6: Inca Trail
Your Inca Trail adventure begins! You will be transferred from your hotel to kilometre 82 where the trail begins. The 26-mile hike will take three nights and four days - along the way, you will stay at local campsites. Accompanied by a guide and porters for the entire duration of the trip, they will show and discuss a number of points of interest along the way and amazing viewpoints to make a stop at.
Day 7: Inca Trail / Machu Picchu / Cusco
The final day of the trek is very much the climax to your Inca trail adventure. Your last day starts early where you will make your way up Machu Picchu's Sun Gate to watch the sun come up over the citadel. A truly inspiring experience that will live with you forever. Spend the rest of the morning taking a guided tour through the citadel before taking a relaxing train back to Cusco for your final night.
Day 8: Transfer to Cusco Airport for your onward flight
