About
I'm originally from the Midlands but made the move to Cornwall in 2019 with my husband and two children, driven by a will to be nearer to the sea and have a quieter, more outdoorsy way of life. We have two dogs and love getting out exploring what Cornwall has to offer.....the beaches, moors and beautiful fishing villages - I just wish the weather was a little warmer in the UK!
I’ve been passionate about travel from a young age, having lived and worked in America, enjoying many holidays in Florida, and adventures from Seattle to Cleveland, Chicago to San Diego, New York to New Orleans and a whole lot of cities in between. I've also backpacked around Australia, explored Japan, and visited Thailand, Scandinavia, Mexico, and parts of Europe. Wherever I go, I'm always planning the next adventure.
I also love adventure and a challenge - from zip lining through the jungle, to completing a 26-mile hike along the Cornish coast, and will take on another endurance challenge along the Jurassic Coast in 2026. Life’s short, and I’m determined to make the most of it - travelling to more fantastic destinations, and making lots of amazing memories along the way.
Professionally, I’ve supported executives at a senior level, organised large-scale events, and managed complex travel arrangements, from visas to inticate itineraries. I also worked as a coach, helping learners develop new skills to achieve a range of qualifications, before following my passion to move into the world of travel. I’ve always been passionate about helping people and great customer service, so am delighted to bring my expertise and experience to Travelstylers.
Q&A
Favourite holiday destination so far?
This is such a difficult one as there are so many different things that places have to offer and I've loved, from traveling coast to coast in America stopping off to explore some fantastic cities, to backpacking up the east coast of Australia and relaxing on the beaches of Thailand. However, Japan was definitely a favourite of mine; the mix of fast paced, modern cities and the serenity of the villages. It also has such a diverse culture, from visiting ancient temples to experiencing the onsen.....plus the sushi was amazing!
One dream destination you would love to visit next?
My travel wish list is never ending, but Sri Lanka is definitely high on the list. The combination of beautiful beaches, culture and amazing wildlife is such a draw. I'd also love to explore Belize - the rainforest, the reefs, the history - it all sounds incredible.
A top personal travel tip you swear by?
Life should be an adventure - so don't stress! Stay open to new experiences and let the unexpected become part of the experience.
And on a practical note, if you're traveling with family always split the packing, that way if you lose a case along the way, you still have supplies, and don't forget to pack 4 gang extension lead - means only one travel plug and no fighting to charge your devices!
