GREEN PEAKS AND GLITTERING SKYSCRAPERS
The city’s economic, historical and political centre is on Hong Kong Island – home to one of the world’s most iconic skylines. Explore Lan Kwai Fong’s bars and restaurants or head to Causeway Bay for all your shopping needs. For beaches, traditional markets and laid-back cafés, head to Repulse Bay and Stanley Market at the south of the island. Some of the adventurists might prefer to hike up to the top of Victoria Peak, with stunning views overlooking the city (there is a tram for the less keen or able).
Take the Star Ferry across Victoria Harbour to Kowloon – a densely populated and fast-developing area packed with bars, hotels and shops. Head to Temple Street Night Market or Jade Market to sample authentic street food or grab a bargain. Tsim Sha Tsui is a major tourist hub in Kowloon, home to designer shopping, excellent restaurants and luxury hotels. The promenade also offers fantastic views of the iconic Hong Kong skyline.
If you want to go one better, take an unforgettable sunset cruise offering incredible views of the mountain peaks and dazzling skyscrapers. Enjoy drinks from the open bar as you sail to North Point and along the Kowloon Waterfront observing the world’s largest permanent light show by night.
