SPECTACULAR SAFARI’S IN THE SERENGETI
The world-famous Serengeti National Park is an iconic safari destination and is home to the ‘greatest wildlife show on earth’ - the annual migration of wildebeest, gazelle and zebras as they thunder their way towards the Masai Mara in neighbouring Kenya - keenly watched by big cats, wild dogs and crocodiles looking for their next meal. Whatever time you visit, you will have plenty of opportunities to spot the Big 5 (elephant, lion, rhino, buffalo and leopard) as well as other incredible wildlife such as cheetahs and giraffe.
There are many safari options and accommodation types to choose from, from family-friendly 4x4 game drives to a bespoke fly-in safari aboard a private Cessna aeroplane. Spend your nights in one of the many luxurious lodges or intimate tented camps, all offering modern-day amenities, elegant lounge bars and fabulous restaurants.
Don’t feel too overwhelmed with all of the choices, call us today and we help build your perfect safari holiday in Tanzania!
The nearby Ngorongoro Crater is one of the largest calderas in the world (I know what you’re thinking; what on earth is a caldera? It is the result of a volcano erupting and then collapsing on itself millions of years ago) and boasts one of the densest animal populations living within its 600-metre-high walls. This comparatively confined natural space makes for a superb game viewing experience.
Tanzania isn’t just about incredible safaris – just off the coast is the exotic island of Zanzibar. With picture-perfect beaches, warm crystal-clear waters, and excellent dive sites, it is the ultimate post-safari relaxation spot. If you can get yourself away from the beaches, Stone Town is a wonderfully historic old town with a maze of narrow streets, charming shops and vibrant markets.
If climbing to the highest point on an entire continent is on your bucket list, then look no further than the spectacular Mount Kilimanjaro. It is a tough but accessible challenge, one that doesn’t require any technical climbing experience (unlike other summits on other continents). Bear in mind, it can take between 5 and 8 days to complete the trek, but you are with experienced guides the entire time, and the achievement upon completion will certainly be something to be proud of.
For a spectacular bird’s eye game viewing experience, why not take a hot balloon ride over the Serengeti! Finish your journey with a fabulous breakfast in the bush with sparkling wine.
Tanzania is the perfect place for a multi-centre holiday. Combine your incredible safari with yet more animal encounters, visiting the mountain gorillas in Rwanda, or head over to neighbouring Kenya so discover the incredible Masai Mara National Park. Enquire today for even more ideas!
